Step 1.Download the Original Firmware 3.1.2 on the computer you have not already, download the original firmware 3.1.2 in your computer and for unlocking iphone EDGE you must download another two files for : bl39.bin and bl46.bin

Step 2. Connect the iPhone / iPod into your PC or Mac

Step 3. once you connect your ipod or iphone into your PC it will detect your setting and then launch the application and click on Browse and then select the Ordinal Browser 3.2.2 from your desktop of computer and process further by clicking next

Step 4. It will now start the process and download the patched the kernel ..

It will look like the   snapshot..

Following a new screen will appear. Cydia is already selected.

now just check on Install Cydia which will jail break your apple iphone or ipod touch.

Step 5.Once you install it you will be asked to put the iPhone in Recovery Mode (iPhone 3GS) or DFU (the other iPhone / iPod).

How to put your iPhone in recovery mode :

1. To go for the Recovery mode Completely turnoff your gadget and disconnect all the cables/dock from your computer and then Press down the home button. while holding down the home button connect it with the computer with cables and then you will see Connect -to-Itunes Screen once you see it you are now in recovery mode..

NOTE:- To exit from recover mode switch the ipod or ipod touch off and press the home button for 10 seconds and you are done..

How to put your iPhone in DFU mode :

it is similar procedure like in recover mode just connect your iphone to your computer and turn your iphone off and press power+home button together for 10 seconds and release power but keep on holding your home button and after few seconds you will see a USB device is recognized message and in few seconds Itunes will detect your iphone and its done..
